Remember how at the very beginning we saw in the capture that the freezes were 250+ milliseconds, also known as 0.25 seconds? It’s probably not a coincidence that the default timeout for these spin-waits in the spinlock code is also 250 milliseconds. I believe this is what the professionals call ‘a smoking gun’.

Very few people are ever going to think to themselves, “I should be the CEO of Yahoo,” and then interview for that job. Walk me through that. What was the pitch? Did you make a deck? How did it work?
